The English Premier League side Manchester City will switch to Zambian striker Patson Daka as they look to replace Sergio Aguero.
Boss Pep Guardiola wants to replace Aguero, who has been dealing with injuries since last season and who has yet to sign a new contract with the club, with a hunt for an alternative already underway.
According to an exclusive from 90min, City is looking to “sign at least one top striker in 2021” and Red Bull Salzburg’s Patson Daka is on their radar.
Daka has been a revelation for Salzburg since replacing Erling Haaland after his move to Borussia Dortmund; the 22-year-old scoring 27 goals and providing 12 assists in 45 appearances in the 2019-20 season.
The player has built on the same form and has already scored 12 goals and provided five assists to his name in 11 games this season with the player being on the radar of a lot of teams.
Sergio Agüero’s contract is set to expire in June and City will be hoping to get their man as they seek to conquer both England and Europe.
