The French giants Paris Saint Germain are sweating on Neymar’s fitness after the player was pulled out in the first half of their Champions League game on Wednesday night.
Neymar started in their clash with Istanbul Basaksehir, but was withdrawn in the 26th minute by Pablo Sarabia, with earlier reports suggesting that the Brazilian may have suffered a hamstring problem.
Neymar had earlier left the pitch for treatment after feeling uncomfortable and despite going back to the pitch to try and shake off the issue, he could not proceed with visitors forced to substitute one of their star players.
Speaking after the game on the injury, PSG coach Thomas Tuchel said: “We now have to wait for a diagnosis. It was not serious pain, but he felt uncomfortable.
“Because of the tight schedule, it might cost him a few games, though I cannot be sure at this point.”
It is yet not clear if the player will miss some games for his side with PSG set to give a comprehensive report on Thursday.
