Arsenal has confirmed that Thomas Partey is seeking medical attention after a 3-0 surprise loss on Sunday night against Aston Villa in the Premier League.
Following two consecutive man of the match performances in the Europa League and the Premier League against Man United, Partey was replaced after just 45 minutes as Arsenal lost 0-3 to Aston Villa on Sunday in London.
Ghanaian media fans were left with question marks until club manager Mikel Arteta announced the injury news on the club’s website today.
“We don’t know [the extent] of it. We have to scan him tomorrow or the day after and see what he felt straight away. Let’s wait and see what the magnitude of the injury is.
“I don’t know [if he will go away with Ghana now]. As I said, the doctor will have to have a look at him and probably scan him. Then we will decide what to do with him,” concluded Arteta.
Meanwhile Goal has been told that Partey will definitely miss his Ghana’s call up for this week, and will instead remain in London to receive medical treatment.
