Bala Mohammed, governor of Bauchi State, has approved a supplementary appropriation of N42.8 billion for the fiscal year 2020.
The appropriation bill consists of a capital expenditure of more than N36.8 billion and a recurrent expenditure of N6 billion.
Speaking at the time of the signing of the bill at the Government House in the capital, the governor said that the state is dictated to achieve some of its objectives despite the COVID-19 pandemic.
Speaking on funding of the budget, Mohammed explained that his administration would rely on its internally generated revenue to borrow from the banks as against the usual practice of relying on the federal government allocations.
According to him, the state’s Internal Generated Revenue, has risen by 300 per cent since he assumed office.
