Former Tottenham Hotspur winger Andrew Townsend claims that other top European strikers will not be able to set the English Premier League in motion.
According to Townsend, Kane has been overlooked for regularly scoring over 20 goals for consecutive seasons in a top-level league like the one in England.
“For me, he’s the best striker in world football bar none. I think he is very underappreciated.
“People love to speak about the Lewandowskis and Benzemas, but if those guys came to the Premier League they would not hit the numbers that Harry Kane has been hitting on a consistent basis.
“I saw the other day that on average he is scoring 26 goals a season, which is incredible,” Townsend concluded.
Meanwhile, Kane is on England duty ahead of a few friendly and UEFA Nations League games.
