Former Paris Saint Germain player Eric Rabesandratana told the club to disregard the allure of signing Lionel Messi and to go to N’Golo Kante.
The French giants were linked with a transfer for the Argentinian, who expressed his desire to leave Barca in the summer, with the side being one of the teams capable of making such a deal because of their financial ability.
Rabesandratana, however, is of the opinion that his former club should go to N’Golo Kante, who in the summer was linked to a move away from Stamford Bridge.
“I would like to say that if I were a leader at PSG I would break the bank to sign N’Golo Kante. He was still huge yesterday. Kante is the player who would allow PSG to win the Champions League. We do not need Messi or anyone else,” he told radio station France Bleu.
N’Golo Kante scored the winner in France’s recent 1-0 victory over Portugal in the Nations League and has impressed this season for Chelsea after a tough 2019-20 campaign hampered by injuries; the player having a contract at Stamford Bridge until 2023.
