The captain of Barcelona, Lionel Messi, has vowed never to play for Real Madrid or Atletico Madrid.
Lionel almost forced his way out of the Nou Camp last summer, and his contract offer is set to expire in six months.
This led to further talk about the 33-year-next old’s career move.
With negotiations over a new contract yet to begin, Lionel has been linked with Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City.
However, there are two teams he would not consider signing for.
“It’s impossible for me to leave for Real Madrid or Atlético Madrid. I’ve always said I’d like to enjoy the experience of living in the United States. But I don’t know if it will happen or not.”
“If I ever leave, I would like to return to Barça and Barcelona. When I retire, I would like to return to the club to contribute my knowledge,” Messi said in quotes posted on Barcelona’s official website.
